About Sentia

Sentia is a Belgian trail running gear brand based in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, in the province of Walloon Brabant. We make two products, not three hundred.

The problem we set out to fix

A pack that bounces, you feel with every stride. It slams between your shoulder blades, throws off your balance on the downhills, and after an hour it's rubbed your shoulders or underarms raw. That's not a toughness issue: it's gear that doesn't fit right.

The second problem is subtler. Drinking during a run shouldn't be a big production. As soon as you have to slow down, pull out a bottle, screw the cap back on and stow it, you drink less often than you should. The motion breaks your rhythm, so you put it off. A hose that stays right by your mouth changes that equation completely.

Our approach

A good hydration vest is one you forget you're wearing. That's our only criterion. If you have to think about it mid-run, to hike it back up, tighten it or shift it around, it hasn't done its job.

Every choice we made follows from that: one adjustable size instead of a size chart where nobody knows where they fit, chest and side straps to lock the load in place, breathable mesh on the back and sides, front pockets for your phone, keys and gels. And a 2L (68 oz) hydration bladder included, not sold separately.

That's also why we sell just two products: the Sentia hydration vest and the 2L replacement bladder, because a bladder wears out before the vest does. Both are in the Our Essentials collection.

What we don't do

  • No endless catalog. Two products means two decisions we can stand behind. A catalog of fifty products is forty-eight that nobody really owns.
  • No performance promises. A vest won't make you run faster and won't get you through an ultra. It keeps your gear from holding you back. That's already a lot, and that's all.
  • No empty tech jargon. On our pages, we write what the product does and what it doesn't. When we don't know, we say so and invite you to email us.

Our concrete commitments

We'd rather make commitments you can check than write slogans.

  • Free shipping, no minimum, to Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, as well as to the US and Canada (duties and taxes included). Orders ship within 24–48 business hours, with estimated delivery in 6–13 business days in Europe and 4–8 business days to the US and Canada, and a tracking number sent as soon as your package ships.
  • 30 days to try it. Money-back guarantee: one email to contact@sentia.run is all it takes, and you get a full refund. Return shipping is on you; the cost depends on your country and the carrier: we'd rather spell that out in black and white than bury it at the bottom of a page.
  • Defective or not as described? That's on us. Sentia covers return shipping and sending out a replacement, wherever you are (in the EU, under the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity).
  • One address. contact@sentia.run. Orders, fit, returns, warranty: it all goes through there, and you'll get a real answer.

Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page.

What we share

We also write what we wish we'd read before buying our first vest: why a running vest bounces, how to choose the right vest size, how much water to carry and how to clean a hydration bladder so it lasts. The rest is in our trail running tips and our FAQ.

A question, a doubt before you order, feedback after three months of use: email us. That's how the product gets better.
